August Exhibits at Haynes Galleries Feature Contemporary
American Realists Peter Poskas, Burt Silverman

THOMASTON, Maine — Haynes Galleries is pleased to announce two exciting exhibits of contemporary American realism for August. "Timeless Places," the luminous landscapes of contemporary American realist Peter Poskas, opens 5-8 p.m. Friday, Aug. 5, and the show will be on view through Aug. 31. Poskas will be on hand to discuss his work from noon to 2 p.m. Saturday, Aug. 27. The event is free and open to the public."Burt Silverman: Painter of People & Places," a selection of figurative and landscape work, opens Aug. 19 and will be on view through Sept. 8. There is still a chance to catch "American Realism: Works on Paper," a sweeping survey that includes works by historical and contemporary masters such as Homer, Sargent, Wyeth, Rockwell, Young, Karsh and more.
